Alward
Clinton County sheriff's deputy Doug Alward was riding his motorcycle on his way into work on U.S. 127 when he hit a deer at mile marker 83. He fell of his bike, and then was tragically hit by a semi-truck. Alward was survived by his wife and two young children.
Alward was a 10-year
veteran with the Clinton County Sheriff's Department who had served on
the special operations team, a narcotics squad and was currently a
gun-range instructor. He began his law enforcement career with the
Ingham County Sheriff's Office as a parks officer. He then worked for
police departments in Ovid and DeWitt. “Doug” will never be forgotten |
