ARTHUR D. “Skip” GAGE, Jr. of Livonia, a highly decorated retired Detroit Police Officer, died suddenly Thursday, August 24, 2006; he was 63 years old. Beloved father of Timothy Michael (Tricia) Gage of Waterford and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Teal of Waterford; dear grandfather of David, Shawna, Brendan and Logan.  Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Skip was very proud to have served in the United States Army.  He also served as a motorcycle officer in the Detroit Police Department from January 1966 through June 1993.  He was an Escort for several Presidential motorcades and an Honor Guard for the Detroit Police Department.  After retirement he worked for Motor City Harley-Davidson where he sold motorcycles for 12 years.  Skip was a member of the Motor City Harley-Davidson H.O.G. chapter and was the founding father and founding president of the Warthogs Motorcycle Club.
